The journey of the Kihikihi.
Notes of Tarata, Lemon, Pepper, Incense Wood, Lavender, vVolet, Rose, Styrax, Smoked Wood, Labdanum, Cedarwood.
Rustic, woody, leathery; inspired by the journey of the kihikihi or known by some iwi Māori, te tarakihi (te reo Māori name for cicada) from years spent buried underground, to its short lifespan upon emergence.
Top notes of tarata, pepper, incense wood, and lavendin represent the high-pitched vibrations of kihikihi song. The depths reveal smoked wood, violet blossoms, rubber, styrax, and labdanum, alluding to the long, slow period the kihikihi spends deep within the soil.
Handmade in France, bottled in Auckland, New Zealand.
